Some useful advice before buying Audi multitronic
- Make sure that the gearbox has warmed up to 60-80 degrees (this can happen after 20-30 minutes drive, because the temperature of the water in the engine is the same as the one of the gearbox)
- While the engine is working press the brake and set the gear-lever at D mode.
It should not have stroke not to D neither to P,
nevertheless a slight push is possible because of the
windage compression.
- Now set the gear-lever in D mode and release the brake. The car should
pull out smoothly with no concussions and if on a smooth
surface without gas!
- Drive the vehicle on a straight segment, while the
gear-lever is in D mode, between 1500 and 2000 revolutions.
It should not have any concussions or pull backs.
- Feed the gas suddenly from 1500 revolutions, but
not to the end, e.g. not to be in kick-down mode. The
vehicle should accelerate smoothly with no vibrations.
Of course, on these indications
can be made just a rough estimation for the gearbox condition . |
